What to do over the school holidays?

We have 2 options for you:

• Option 1 is our Multi Activity Program which runs daily from 9.30 - 3.30

• Option 2 is our Lessons which run from Monday through to Friday from 3.30 - 5.30 in either windsurfing or dinghy sailing.

Option 1 - Multi Activity Program

It’s time to leave the computer games and tv behind and get out into the fresh air from 9.30 through to 3.30. Kids love water sports—it’s a fun and healthy hobby. Enroll for a turbo charged water and land sports day or week.

No experience of watersports is required, from 5 years upwards to teenagers we want them to:

What happens

Packed with activities combining fun and adventure on water and land. Children will experience the thrills of dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, stand up paddling on the water combined with team challenges and treasure hunts on land.

Option 2 - School Holiday Lessons run from Monday through to Friday 3.30-5.30

We offer Dinghy Sailing Lessons or Windsurfing Lessons during the school holidays - this will run along the same lines as our popular lessons that we operate during term time. It's about having fun, getting wet and learning to sail. The lessons are taught by our qualified instructors. Kids will work towards their level 1 sailing certificate or level 2 sailing certificates.

• Dinghy Sailing Lessons for Kids and Teens

Our dinghy sailing lessons are an excellent opportunity for kids to learn & improve upon their sailing skills & techniques. The perfect next step for kids who enjoyed our School Holiday Activity Program or have attended previous lessons with us, the training follows a more structured learning program, which allows the kids to progress their sailing skills both on and off the water. The lessons follow the Yachting Australia Get into small boat sailing scheme.

What do the kids learn?

Included in the tuition is tacking, gybing, capsizing, man overboard, sailing around a triangular course, racing tactics, rules of the road, the 5 essentials, sailing with a jib, water safety, rigging according to conditions, weather and much more!

• Windsurfing Lessons for Kids and Teens

Our windsurfing lessons are an excellent opportunity for kids to learn & improve upon their windsurfing skills & techniques. The perfect next step for kids who enjoyed our School Holiday Activity Program or have attended previous lessons with us, the training follows a more structured learning program, which allows the kids to progress their sailing skills both on and off the water. The lessons follow the Yachting Australia junior windsurfing scheme. The squad starts right from those pretty wobbly beginnings through to the sheer buzz of intermediate stuff.

What do the kids learn?

Included in the tuition is establishing the secure position, sailing across the wind and completing a 180 degree turn, steering upwind and downwind, power control, basic tacking and gybing, sailing a triangular course, theory including the seven common senses and self rescue and much much more!
