Drama Scene

Drama Scene has been running KIDS SCENE DRAMA THEATRE (School years K – 3) and HOLIDAY SCENE PLAYERS (Ages 9 – Teens) school holiday workshops every holidays in Paddington since 2003.

Drama Scene Head Coach, Stephanie Waites, designs original themed programmes with workshops by guest coaches and Industry professionals for every school holidays.

Our Paddington location has a fantastic stage and outside we can skip, bounce and run and even create performances on the play equipment!

Players are encouraged to explore their creativity (practical, artistic or performance) and to create original group work, discover and express their talents and to make new friends.

Most importantly, it is the school holidays and everyone comes along to have fun! So, if you feel like wearing a costume all day or you have an idea for a prop to make or want to have a go at performing into the microphone on the stage … then on a school holiday day we will find a way!

Drama Commonwealth Planet Games

TUESDAY* Represent an Alien planet, decorate an emblem in your colours, practise your best Alien faces, walks and voices and fly in so you can play drama games from many planets.
WEDNESDAY* Develop teamwork & drama improvisation skills by playing in themed drama sporting events such as charades relays, invisible ball games. Craft prop awards & win real prizes.
THURSDAY* Bring your Alien Pet into the Arena to compete in the obstacle courses and tricks competitions or earn certificates as the Trainer for amazing drama feats.
FRIDAY* Have your face painted and make a flag to prepare for the Games Closing Ceremony and rehearse a drama act; (game, play scene, song, dance, jokes, circus trick).

ALL SCHOOL AGES (high Player/Coach ratio)

TIMES: WORKSHOPS RUN 9:30am-4:00pm
BEFORE CARE 8am - AFTER CARE until 6pm

PROVIDED: All materials.
(Fruit snack for After Care afternoon tea.)

REQUIRED: Drink, snack, lunch, hat & wear comfortable play clothes.
