Has The Easter Bunny Been – Bunny Footprints

Do you want a cute and fairly simple activity that will have your kids hopping with excitement on Easter morning? Bunny footprints are sure to do the trick! The kids will be in wonderment when they see “proof” that the Easter bunny has indeed been. Beware though, this will require some clean up afterwards too, but your children’s excitement will be worth the effort.

What you need:

  • Sheet of cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Talcum/Baby powder

What to do:

  1. First of all, take your cardboard and draw a template of two big bunny shaped feet on it.
  2. Next take your scissors and cut around the outline you have drawn, giving you two bunny feet.
  3. Once the kids are asleep take your bunny feet, place them on the floor and sprinkle around them with the powder.
  4. Carefully remove the “feet” taking care to disturb the powder as little as possible. You will be left with the outline of two big bunny footprints in the powder.
  5. Continue the process through the house as much or as little as you want to make it look as though the bunny has hopped through the house.

When the kids wake they will be thrilled to see bunny prints leading up to a pile of eggs just for them. Then the fun part for mum and dad is to clean up the powder, (at least your carpet will smell nice!). Also it’s worth noting that the powder will make hard floor coverings such as ceramic tiles and timber floors slippery so use caution!
