How to Make An Egg Carton Crocodile

This fun, easy to do activity will have the kids smiling and playing for ages after the making is finished.

What You Need

  • Empty egg carton (can be twelve or six egg carton)
  • Green paint
  • Googly eyes
  • Masking tape
  • Black marker
  • Scissors

What To Do

  1. Firstly take the egg carton and use the scissors to cut down the joined side so that you end up with two halves.
  2. Take the masking tape and tape the two short ends of the egg carton together forming a snapping jaw. If you don't have masking tape normal sticky tape will do, it just may not stick as well
  3. Next get your child to paint the outside of their egg carton with green paint (check out our website for a great homemade paint recipe)
  4. Once the plaint has dried you can glue the googly eyes on the top of the egg carton. If you don't have googly eyes, these can easily be drawn on with the black marker.
  5. On the front lip of the top half, use your black marker to draw to circles for the crocodile's nostrils.
